Lovejoy Health Center adds new provider to staff

ALBION -- Kimberly Pollis, FNP will join Lovejoy Health Center as a family nurse practitioner in November. Ms. Pollis is a graduate of the Family Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Southern Maine. She received her undergraduate degree in Health Fitness at USM in 2002. She is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

During her graduate studies, Ms. Pollis participated in the Partners for Rural Health in the Dominican Republic. "I am dedicated to providing care to underserved populations and have a strong desire to serve the people of Maine, my native state," she said. "Providing medical care to patients of all ages at a community health center with a long history in the town of Albion is very appealing to me."

Ms. Pollis brings experience as a cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation nurse, exercise instructor, and classroom teacher. She is proficient in French and Spanish. Her clinical areas of expertise include pediatrics, women's health and geriatric care. She joins two physicians, Drs. Forrest West and Larry McAleer as well as physician assistant, Megan Yuill, PA-C, who provide medical care to 4,500 residents of Albion, China, Freedom, Palermo, Thorndike, Troy, Unity, and other surrounding communities.
