Employee GivingThe exceptional professionals of HealthReach Community Health Centers take pride in the daily work of providing high quality medical and dental care to area residents and visitors. HealthReach employs over two hundred physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dentists, and clinical support and administrative professionals. Our employees come from local Maine communities, prestigious medical and dental training programs, multiple states, and other countries. Many staff members have deep roots in local communities and proudly provide health care to neighbors. Some of our providers have worked at our local health centers since they were founded over thirty years ago. Each year, new family practice residency graduates and seasoned providers seeking new challenges choose to begin working in our facilities. Our employees have a well-established practice of contributing time and money to important causes: Annual Campaign: HealthReach employees maintain a long-standing tradition of contributing to local communities through our Annual Combined Campaign. In 2009, we raised $12,694 for health centers, local United Way organizations and MaineShare. 48% of our employees and board members participated in the Campaign raising $9,039 for our health centers and $2,443 for United Way and $1,212 for MaineShare. 100% of our governing board members contributed to the Campaign in 2009. Medical Leave Bank: Each year, HealthReach employees take advantage of the opportunity to support peers experiencing personal or family crises by donating vacation hours. In 2009, 80 employees (37% of our workforce) contributed vacation hours valued at $12,812 to our Medical Leave Bank. Community Volunteer Opportunities: Many HealthReach employees participate in volunteer opportunities in our local communities by donating time for schools, camps, ski patrols and social service organizations. In addition, HealthReach clinical providers and administrators play critical leadership roles in state of Maine initiatives and task forces. We encourage you to join our dedicated professionals by contacting a member of our Development staff to discuss contributing to your local health center. Please call us at 207-861-3466.
